SKYSENSOR 2000-PC is compatible with a PC to use astronomical software like THE SKY, etc., for remote auto-centering of objects in the telescope fiel! Without aligning the polar axis of the telescope, it is possible to search for celestrial objects and track them automatically!
MAJOR FUNCTIONS OF SKYSENSOR 2000 & 2000-PC
1) HIGH SPEED AUTOMATIC SEARCH OF CELESTRIAL OBJECTS
DC motors are used to quickly locate objects at the speed of 1200x sidereal rate (5 degrees per second).
2) WORKABLE WITH ANY TYPE OF OPTICAL TUBES
Any type of optical tube (refractor, Newtonian, VISAC, Schmidt-Cassegrain, etc) can be mounted on an equatorial mount wquipped with SkySenser 2000 or 2000-PC.
3) STORING 13,942 OBJECTS IN SKYSENSOR 2000-PC (6,883 OBJECTS IN SKYSENSOR 2000)
Menus include the planets, Moon, Sun and objects from Messier, NGC, IC, UGC, SAO and GCVS lists.
4) AUTOMATICTRACKING OF SATELLITES
You can search for satellites and track them automatically across the sky.
5) EASY SETUP
Polar alignment is not required. Even without aligning the polar axis, it is possible to search for celestrial objects and track them automatically.
6) CONSECUTIVE AUTOMATIC SEARCH
Automatic search is possible for u[ to 30 celestrail objects one after another at intervals of set time.
7) USER STORING MENUS
Up to 30 additional Comets, artifical satellites, terrestrial and sky objects can be stored in the memory by users.
8) EASY MOTOR CONTROL EVEN FOR BEGINNERS
An equatorial telescope can be moved along the vertical and horizontal directions like an alt-azimuth telescope.
9) OBJECT DATEA DISPLAY
For the objects, the units display the right ascension/declination co-ordinates, altitude/azimuth co-ordinates, magnitudes, size, type and constellation.
10) TIME DISPLAY
The sidereal time and local time can be displayed. The timer function is also available.
11) PEC FUNCTION
The PEC (periodic error correction) function, which is greatly helpful for astrophotography, reduces tracking error.
12) SEARCH AND TRACKING OF COMETS
With a simple setting the search and tracking of comets is possible. The complicated orbital calculation will be done by SkySensor 2000 or 2000-PC.
13) ATMOSPHERIC CORRECTION
The effect of atmospheric refraction is automatically corrected.
14) OPTIONAL CCD AUTO-GUIDER AND EXTERNAL ENCODER UNITS
SkySensor 2000 or 2000-PC can be operated with the optional CCD Auto-Guider or external encoder units.
15) MULTI-LANGUAGE DISPLAY
You can select from English, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Japanese language displays.

  • AGA-1 detects the deviation of the guide star imaged through a CCD video camera and allows the motor drive system to corect it automatically.
